Argonaut,
a new incarnation of a longtime vineyard and winery
operation, is located west and south of the
Shenandoah Valley in the Dry Creek Valley of Amador
County. Brian and Jennifer Marsdon took over the
small 4-acre vineyard in 1998, and the 4-vineyard
is growing to eight acres in 2000. Additional
grapes are obtained from other Amador vineyards.
Each of the wines is produced in very small
quantities, and we are pleased to offer Argonaut
Cabernet, Riesling (from Madame Omo's Vineyard),
Ruby Port, and Sauvignon Blanc.
Annual production
is around 1,100 cases. Winery Location:13825 Willow Creek Road,
near Ione Tasting: weekends from 10 a.m. to 5:30
p.m.
