Story Winery

SDtory Tasting CabinBruce Tichenor, co-owner (with his wife Jan) and winemaker for this Amador winery, benefits from some of the oldest infandel and Mission vines in the region. he is one of the few winemakers who produces wine from Mission grapes, the variety origina;lly brought to California by the Spanish priests who founded the chain of missions, more than 200 years ago. The older vineyards here date back to the early 1900s. As well as distinctive Zinfandels and their signature Mission and a Mission/Zin blend, the winery offers other reds: Barbers and Merlot, plus Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, and White Zinfandel.

Established in 1973, the winery and surrounding vineyards overlook the Cosumnes River Canyon, and visitors to the tasting room can have an enjoyable picnic under huge oak trees.

Annual production is around 2,500 cases.
