Owned by one of several long-time Amador County winemaking families (four generations of Brees), Sutter Ridge produces Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Zinfandel, and Port. Located on a hogsback ridge just above the town of Sutter Creek, the winery also grows Pinotage -- the only commercial planting in California.

John Bree, the winemaker, has had a long history of creative distinctive wines and introducing new varieties to the Foothills. His son, John Junior is the vineyard manager.

Located at 14110 Ridge Road, east of State Hwy 49, the tasting room is open Friday-Sunday from 11a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
