Opened in 1966, this family winery produces fine
red wines, specializing in Mission, Zinfandel,
Cabernet Sauvignon, and Chardonnay. Its old-vine
Fiddletown Zinfandel is made from Amador County
grapes from vines planted in 1906. Its Napa Valley
Cabernet was made in a batch of only 100 cases. The
'98 Chardonnay is the first white wine released by
Malvadino;s winemaker, Rocco Malvini, and won the
best of show award for white wines in the 1999
Calaveras County fair.
Annual production
is around 2,000 cases.
