The Latcham family owns this operation, close to the El Dorado/Amador county border, as well as Granite Springs Winery which is a little north, in the Fair Play area.

Frank Latcham, a former San Francisco lawyer, has developed the two vineyard and winemaking operations over the years, with Craig Boyd -- the current winemaker -- producing a raft of red and white wines, plus a port made from five Portugese grape varieties.

Latcham's reds include Zinfandels, Barbera, Cabernet Sauvignon, a red blend, and Cabernet Franc. Whites are Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and a white blend.
